However I have found from almost 8 trips this summer and staying in various types of acc, that although it says online book with cc, the reality is, when you go to pay they insist on cash only and will not take your card............I got badly caught out up on the coast and had to head for the bank machine

So if travelling on a budget, do as I do, put one envelope in your bag with the cash for the hotels and taxis etc seperate from all other cash, then can't get caught out.
