Driving UK car and trailer to Bulgaria after Brexit

Postby doughnut » Sun Jul 31, 2016 7:56 am

Can anyone tell me if the rules will change for bringing a car and trailer over now we're coming out of the EU?

Nobody, including the politicians, knows yet. The UK hasn't applied to leave yet, and after we do there will be a further t wo years of negotiations before t h e deed is done.
It might well be more difficult for you, let alone your trailer, to enter Bulgaria but we won't know for quite a while.

When you say bringing do you mean importing

Importing trailers from the UK onto BG plates is not an easy task even now, and I would suggest not even bothering because it is a load of hassle even by Bulgarian standards

At present you can only import a car if you have a residency card, or put the car in your Company name.

You have two years at least......... nothing will change before then

we may not even get there yet if more countries decide to have referendums.

Forget about trailer and buy one locally.
