Software Problems

Dear Technical Support

18 months ago, I upgraded to Bulgarian Girlfriend 1.0 from Drinking Mates 4.2, which I had used for years without any trouble.

However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the
only solution was to try and run Bulgarian Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off.

To make matters worse, Bulgarian Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as Lads Night Out 3.1, Football 3pm, and Private Spice 6.9.

Successive versions of other multi-language Girlfriend proved no better.

A shareware program, Sunny Beach Girl 2.1, which I tried, had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks.

Eventually, I tried to run Bulgarian Girlfriend 1.2 and Other Girlfriend1.0 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other, they caused severe damage to my hardware.

I then upgraded to FiancÚ 1.0, only to discover that this product soon had to be upgraded further to Wife 1.0.

While Wife1.0 tends to use up all my available resources, it does come bundled with FreeSex Plus and Cleanhouse 2007.

Shortly after this upgrade, however, I found that Wife 1.0 can be very unstable and costly to run.

Any mistakes I made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0's memory and could not be deleted.

They then resurfaced months later when I had forgotten about them.

Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary, Explorer and E-mail Filter, and can, without warning, launch TurboStrop and Whinge.

These latter products have no Help files, and I have to try to guess what the problem is.

Additional problems are that Wife 1.0 needs updating regularly, requiring Shoe Shop Browser for new attachments and Hairstyle Express which needs to be reinstalled every other week.

Wife 1.0 also spawns unwelcome child processes that drain my resources.

These, conflict with some of the new games I wanted to try out, warning me
that they are an illegal operation.

Also, when Wife 1.0 attaches itself to my Niva hard drive, it often crashes.

Wife 1.0 also comes with a rather annoying pop-up called Mother-In-Law, which can't be turned off.

Recently I've been tempted to install Mistress 2009, but there could be
problems.

A friend of mine has alerted me to the fact that if Wife 1.0 detects Mistress 2003, it tends to delete all of your Money files before un-installing itself.

Any ideas? I can't switch it off, let alone switch it back on again.

I sincerely trust that you are not looking for sympathy, Mr Wolf. Remember - research, research, research. One question on here before installing Wife1.0 would have told you what you have now found out the hard way.

I'm afraid there are only two options left to you. One is to leave things as they are and discontinue investigating other options - of which there are none and the other is to rid yourself of the software altogether. This is not recommended as it is an extremely expensive option and could cost you not only an arm and a leg but the shirt off your back as well as the roof over your head.

Hopefully others will take heed of your post and stick with Drinking Mates 4.2

I've always found that a cold re-boot works fine...

Hopefully, all your problems will disappear when you switch to Widows 8.

I thought about installing WIDOWS 8 but found them to work at dial-up speed, plus they always comparing themselves to earlier software versions. They can also take up a lot of disk space with their baggage.

I think that Baba 9 is a better programme, it is old DOS, slow, smells a bit, but does not appear to interfere or conflict with Girlfriend 1, Wife 2 or any of the other programmes I have tried as long as you keep it plugged in. Unplug it and you run the risk of it locking up or dying on you.

Ah , good old Drinking Mates 4.2 , a reliable if somewhat one dimensional program . It is possible to upgrade Wife 1.0 with Turbo Charge V8.0 , but this is not for the faint-hearted , and can easily lead to system overload .

The alternatives aren't much better . Solo 2.1 comes with a good graphics package , but can take forever to load , and Blow Up 6.9 requires a lot of RAM , and is susceptible to unforeseen incompatability clashes with existing software . Everybody has waiting for the launch of Robo Maid V. XXX , but they've been encountering some development problems , so it may be along wait . Equally Virtual Fantasy V.3.D 'interactive' is the subject of several patent disputes at the moment , and seems like a pipe dream for the foreseeable future . Sorry I couldn't be of more help , but you could always try introducing Wife 1.0 to Role Play 2012 .
