Try Serbia Route. Good roads, fantastic peple. Done it twice. France. Germany. Austria. Slovenia, Croatia. Serbia into Bulgaria just above Sofia then hopefully new motorway Sofia to Burgas then onto Varna.

Have went the Serbia route a couple of times and also found the Serbs to be most hospitable. But we went through France, Germany, Austria, Hungary and then Serbia.....may want to try Slovenia and Croatia in future...another wee adventure for us. Was accomodation easy to find in Slovenia/Croatia. ?

Didn't stop in Slovenia, but plenty of motels on the motorway through Croatia around Zagreb.

Never driven in EU other than on holiday and will be bring my own car
Tiarnan you say the signs are good,
the aa take us to romania which seems ok as just north of varna is where we are going. leaving here first week November not sure how long to drive each day or is night driving ok

Hi

We drove from Tyrone to BG 2 years ago and had a ball of a time.

Their was live music on the boat going to cherburg. We went to Paris the first night my wife and daughter wanted to see Paris. We stayed in German and Croatia the another night's.

We drove 8 hours slept 8 hours and enjoyed ourselves 8 hours.

I would avoid Serbia, They charged us 130 euro to enter and we had a green card and their are lot's of toals
