We have had a bulgarian friend speak with the Mayor, tomorrow morning the village bell will be rung for Jean. This is the tradition when somebody dies in the village
Jean was trying to raise money for the bell tower, she used to bake scrumptious apple pies and cakes to sell, so very appropriate we hope.

As requested the bells rang for Jean in Malomir this morning.
So very sad.
She was a great friend , and a great giggle. I shall miss her greatly.
I will never forget our trip to Istanbul, when we were confronted with the Turkish army Tanks brigade in Erdine, getting ready for the Victory Day Parade. We were rerouted all through Erdine and Jean in her inimitable way asked the tank Guy, with machine gun if he could just move his little tank so that we could get through..
Of course the answer was no. !!
Jean, what a lady XXXX

The Galley Chef and I would like to add our condolences. We met her at The Jack Russel and sampled her super cakes. I'm sure she will be missed.
