What NO inspection pits in case of back-up? I have those at all major junctions just in case they're needed for a flush through. Tut Tut Seathrift, surely you would have at least one inspection manhole cover in your system?
Ps. I can read and understand, I just don't agree with all the jargon.

Certainly there are inspection chambers, but only the covers are at ground level. The system is all underground. Inspecting the covers, or for that matter the chambers is not going to tell you much.
I am sorry to have to tell you that you have not read properly and understood some parts of my posts. For example, if you look carefully you will find that, unlike your earlier statement to the contrary, I have not recommended any particular system. Which system is best to use, will depend on the factors that I have already noted.
I really don't understand the opposition of certain members to the principle of doing the job properly, legally and once !!
When people look for help on a site such as this, they are looking for factual information about what the legal requirements are and how and where to go to go about it.
What they don't need is irresponsible people slating and harassing the ones who take responsibility for themselves and follow the law.
There are shortcuts and illegal ways of saving money in all aspects of life in Bulgaria, and everywhere else for that matter, I think its essential that people have full and free access to the relevant information and are then free to make their own informed decisions without the constant barrage of the few anti establishment posters.
FR , I understand where you are coming from , but there are normally various ways of completing a certain task . You get the people who read their books and theorize , or you get people who have practical knowledge . The ones with the practical experience generally talk more sense than the follow the rule book people . From a time served tradesman of nearly forty years .

Very true in some cases Neddy, but not always the case. A competent engineer will generally have a broader view of the subject and the capability to do the calculations, which will be necessary for some projects.
Particularly with building projects in BG, the first problem is to find someone who is giving competent advice and the second a contractor capable of doing it. There are many who profess to be top class builders and charge exhorbitant rates, but are in fact not good enough to be called a cowboy. I have met another contractor who I quickly discovered was unable to understand a drawing of a manhole. He just could not convert in his head, the two dimensional picture into a 3 dimensional structure, even a simple one like a manhole.
I have found it that if possible one should spend a year or so in a village, looking around at the various projects that have been done recently, before starting any major works ( not always possible, I know). It is not usually too difficult to then find out who was in the team that designed and built them. In practical terms take some time to actively try to sort out the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
In my mind the only way to deal with the problem is to be very thorough in your research.
To answer FR's post. There are many British not only in BG, but abroad generally, who have a very limited and often jaundiced view on life. Often I suspect the reason that took them abroad is not a sound one. They then have to shout a lot to try to show how important they are.
I find the best way to deal with it, is to show a casual toleration, but basically ignore them. I just never join in a slanging match. They will soon show their worth to those that care to observe. In general, I do not to respond to attacks on here, unless I think my response may have some value to any others that may need it.
Just my view on the subject. No doubt others will have a different response!
