HI,
Has anyone had a cellar built ? as ( my wife ) is thinking about this when we move to BG later this year, Planning permission needed ? anyone know what the requirements are if any

Then perhaps Im wrong and it depends on the area of Bulgaria your in. Im in the NW and all houses have cellar/basement due to the fact of the ground, there is no rock, clay or gravel so the footings have to go deep. Similar to the East Anglia area of the Fens when many have to be built on a base.

RODZ,
I have bought a house that was built by an English couple it does not have a cellar that was the reason for the question , Has anyone actually had a cellar built ?
Looking at building a cellar as my wife makes her own pickles ect, and a good cool storage place is required.

Sorry Tjimmy about the misunderstanding however I would thing that if you have a large garden then why not build the cellar there. It wont mess with your house foundations and you wont need planning
