The The My Bulgaria 'Blogger' is now open for business! Laughing

At present the link to it can be found as a banner at the top of any Forum heading that does not currently have an advertiser - for example, you can find it on this page above. We will make it higher profile when it has a few more entries!

Please note that the Blogger is NOT meant for those with a property related grievance but is designed both as a bit of fun or for displaying personal and human interest related stories.

If you already have a 'blog' on the Forums - past or current - it would be great if you could copy and paste it into this new facility, and then we can remove it as a Forum entry. If you need help just PM 'MOD'.

As the Mod said earlier a BLOG is basically an on-line diary or one off story.

Because your Blog can be edited (by you) you can keep it fully up to date, just like a diary of daily, weekly or monthly experiences. By default some of the My Bulgaria forums already carry a few Blogs but the format of a forum is not so suitable for them as they get interrupted by other posts…and so the Blog (derived from WebLog I think) was born!! A few of the forum based Blogs may well end up here in due course anyway!!

To spice this up My Bulgaria will run a little competition.

There will be THREE prizes: Laughing

1. Ł250 for the all round BEST Blog

This will be awarded to the user who submits (in the eyes of the judges) the Blog that has all the best elements of a good novel…..humour, action, real life experiences about Bulgaria….the whole lot!!

2. Ł175 for the FUNNIEST Blog

This will be awarded to the user who submits the Blog with the most humerous content, again based around real life experiences to do with Bulgaria

3. Ł175 for the most INFORMATIVE Blog

This will be awarded to the user who submits the most informative Blog about their experiences of or in Bulgaria or getting there.

The rules are simple:

The competition is open from now until the last day of June 2007.

You obviously must be a registered forum member to participate. The Judges will consist of a panel of normal Wink

people who are involved with the My Bulgaria site in one capacity or another, some of these are from the UK and some are from Bulgaria, we will remain impartial and no bribes will be accepted!! Shocked

If there are less than 20 qualifying Blogs at the end of June the close date will be extended until there are at least 20.

The winners of each category will be different. No one Blogger can win two prizes. The content of Blogs must be directly related to Bulgaria in some way to qualify for the competition, of course other Blogs will be accepted onto the Blogger section but they will not qualify for the competition. All Blogs should have a title that accurately reflects the content and almost certainly the winning Blogs will have some picture content included.

Blogs should not in any event be about a named property agent Rolling Eyes

and will be deleted anyway from the Blogger site if they infringe the general site rules regarding banned or defamatory material, so all normal forum rules will apply. Spam Blogs will just be deleted!!

If any one wants to comment on a particular Blog in any way please feel free to do so on this thread. If the Blogger section really starts to take off we will add other functions (for example we can allow picture gallery pics to easily be imported etc).

May the best Blogger(s) win!!

I have just tried to add pics, but can't. Please help
How can I add them from my pc as apposed to uploading them to a hosting site??

Hi Dannia, as far as we know you have to use a hosting site from which to upload your pics, which should be quite easy. However, Pelican may be able to give us all some first-hand tips??? Question
