I have just come back from a wonderful week in Vratsa.I stayed with Dave and Dawn Ingram aka Brits, in their lovely home. They have just moved to Tsarevets just outside Mezdra.
I went with a friend who went to view property. We were totally relaxed and comfortable and were treated like family.
They took very good care of us and took us everywhere we wanted to go.Dawn was invaluable as a translator as she has picked up an impressive amount of Bulgarian in the 2 months they have been there.
I would recommend them as their prices are reasonable and their service is excellent!!
They can be contacted on this forum under the name Brits. |

Hi fantasia
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. the house felt empty when you and Rachel left and Dawn is feeling all depressed that she has nobody to talk to or look after..
The snow has finally arived, its all around the village but seems to stay away from us, which in Dawns eyes is a good thing
Oh and we now have all the doors fitted internally AT LAST.. we now have a gym upstairs, well a running machine and a cross trainer.as Dawn wants to start running again.
Our hairdresser Elinnor has told us about a new funiture shop in Vratsa a little like Ikea which we will be visiting on Sunday to see if the furniture is to your liking:)
well will be in contact soon and will send the plans to your house asap
love US.... |

If you are looking for a place with a warm, friendly atmosphere with hosts who go out of their way to please, then Iskar 3 is an ideal place to base yourselves.
In May 2008, my son and I stayed there with Dave and Dawn, who were helpful with everything from advice about the local area, getting about and making sure our every need was met. They offered bed and breakfast, with the option of an evening meal, all of which was to a good standard, but they also gave us the freedom to use the kitchen and all facilities as and if we chose to. Our stay was so enjoyable, that when we left, we felt we were saying goodbye to friends.
Both Dawn and Dave are willing to go the extra mile to accommodate your needs and their place is well worth a visit, we could not have asked for more.
What began as a simple property viewing trip, was made to feel like a real break for us. |

Hi Teapot (ellen)
OK we got a toaster no more burnt toast for me or the guests..lol But then if you stayed out of the kitchen and stop distracting me the toast would never have burnt those 5 times lol oh and the garlic bread but then that was Dawns fault. We are both pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to the next visit.
Tell Craig that we are looking forward to his next visit with Nigel your hubby
and not to forget to book it well in advance due to the mad rush of guests
speak soon

I have been privileged to spend two weeks at Dawn's and Dave's sweet little Guesthouse in Tsarevets just outside Vratsa last month, and have to state that is was probably the most relaxing and comfortable holiday I have ever spent.
The three rooms, complete with very nice bathrooms, they upgraded in their beautiful little house easily rival every 4 star hotel room I've seen so far. And if you really want to skip on the company of this lovely couple you'll have access to the big telly or you can go and exercise on one of the home trainers
They also showed me around the place which was very interesting and not really common I guess.
The landscape around is gorgeous and there's loads of things to see and visit. You can even go for a little skiing near Vratsa.
So Dawn and Dave; I am very grateful for this experience, and I will definitely be back in march to see the place in spring.
If I had to rate this place I would decline, because no numbers can aptly discribe it; I'd show you some pictures though... (Just PM me)
All thumbs and the big toes up for that place!
Cheers from Switzerland
