From now on any ads posted in this section by those known to have commercial interests in property sales and where the ad is to do with a ‘private property sale’ will not be allowed. If posted, they will be deleted without warning. All others that have been similarly posted historically will also be deleted in due course.

All other Private/Personal Ads will continue to be allowed free of charge (within the bounds of reason) by any poster and they will remain live for a maximum of 3 months from the last post made.

Goods for sale posted by members may have photos of the goods placed in their galleries. However, please DO NOT add a description in the Description box to images of goods for sale as descriptions allow them to automatically enter the Latest Pictures area (where adverts are not permitted). Should this happen they will be deleted. Without descriptions they will be added to the member’s gallery for all to see but bypass the 'Latest Pics' area. Thanks.

Guidelines for making Private/Personal Ads:

Please only submit ONE new post per advert, which in due course you may ‘refresh’ by adding to the existing entry if you have further information to offer etc (other than obviously answering enquiries). Please do NOT ‘bump’ your advert gratuitously, as this will result in early removal at the Mods discretion.

Please note posts in Private/Personal Ads are automatically deleted once left unanswered for 90 days. After 90 days when the advert has expired, you may re advertise as necessary, again following the same guidelines.

This applies to both ‘offered’ and ‘wanted’ type ads.

Please note that messages posted in the Private/Personal Ads section will no longer be visible in the Latest Forum Posts List.

Other sections that do not appear there for various reasons already include Helping Hands, Chit Chat and My Soap Box.

We have noticed recently that some members 'Private Ads' pictures are being displayed in the public picture gallery at the bottom of the site. The previously stated rules on this are (and still are):

If you have multiple items for sale it would be best if you included all items in one new topic (which you can then update) rather than create multiple topics for each individual item.
