Is anyone experiencing a delay in forming a Bulgarian company ? I am trying to set up an EOOD and it has taken over 8 weeks so far and is still not ready (should have taken less than 3 weeks).

Hi
We put a deposit on a house on the 10th Feb and we applied for company registration at the same time, we are STILL WAITING for our company to be released from the register. We have sold up everything in UK and have been ready to move over permanently for weeks now but can't do anything until our company comes out of registration so we can buy the house, fed up and still waiting. We have been told that it is the reregestration of companies, it is in chaos!!!

Yes I imagine with the chaos of re-registering the courts are in immense strain at the moment and probably have a big back-log to clear.

| My lawyers here in Sofia tell me that its a 45-day wait to get a company onto the new Trade Register at the mo. And they can't process any other change - eg, a simple change of registered address - until the re-registration of the company has been effected. Fun and games. |
