We've just got back from a weekend away in Sofia and wanted to let you know about a club that we went to that absolutely rocked!
Its called 'the swinging hall' and we saw 2 bands there on Saturday night one being an 11 piece who were amazing. They really know how to work a crowd and with Doug being very critical about every band we see he actually couldn't fault them at all, very professional.
We actually went to Sofia to see James Blunt in concert which was also very, very good but this band, called dirty purchase and the club really needed recommending.
The only problem is we went for a bit of a break and to have a rest but we've come back more knackered than we went! |

The Ganesha Hotel, not far from the Pliska Hotel is very reasonable, clean and friendly. There are also a couple of other hotels in the same street I have had to use when the Ganesha was full, can't remember the name of them, but also good value.
Don't, repeat don't even think about the Pliska Hotel, friends stayed there once, against my advice, and wouldn't even take a shower it was so dirty. |

Please restrict posts on this thread to discussing music venues in Sofia
Recommendations for hotels can be made on one of the various existing threads to be found in the 'Hoildays and Hotels in Bulgaria' forum.
Thanks
