Just to let everyone know that a new campsite "Camping Veliko Turnovo" is now open for business at Dragishevo. Looks to be high quality, with a posh new loo block, electricity at every pitch etc. There are smallish signs on the Gorna O/Elena road at both entrances to the village. Fabulous views over the surrounding countryside although looks to be limited shade.

I have no connection with this business and don't know the owners - purely passing on the info. Would have been handy in the spring when the nearest "reasonable" place that some friends could find was the big one at Dryanovo.

Have also heard good reports of this new site. Might be useful for those intending to visit our blues concert in Mindya on September 19th. The village is providing camping facilities but probably basic Bulgarian style! No offence but we all know Brits expect the best. Wink

Called in on Sunday evening with my husband and two friends. Had a good meal, well presented and good quality for money. Also a large group of Bulgarians having a meal as well and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Beautiful views and excellent facilities for campers. I wish it had of been there when we first came to Bulgaria with our caravan. We also have no interest in or connection with the business.
I wish them well in their new venture.

Took a run by the Caravan and Camping site it it all looks very nice indeed.
Upon making enquiries, unfortunately we were too late to book a table for their Curry Night on 29th September. BUT they are having a Bonfire and Firework Party on the 5th Novemberr from 7p.m. Enquiries should be made direct, they have a good web site too. office@campingvelikoturnovo.com is the email address.

Camping Veliko Turnovo have a fabulous new site.

Besides the wonderful camping facilities on offer, the catering side of the business has been expanded.
Sundays you can get a roast dinner two or three courses, on Saturday an All Day Breakfast. Friday night is steak night, plus there will be themed nights, I believe the first to be Chinese.

The site owner Nick and Nikki has lots of other activities planned through out the year.

You do need to check their site to see for yourself. You can also subscribe to an email to keep you up to date with forth coming events.

I have nothing what so ever to do with this site.
