Montana - A town in north western Bulgaria along the Ogosta river.


Montana is the centre of an administartive region. It is situated in north western Bulgaria along the Ogosta river. It was founded in Roman times as a fortress. In 1891 it became a town.

It has been bearing the name of Montana since 1991.
